In 1838, Mr. Jeunet created his first nightlight production machine and founded his company. Jeunet’s company grew rapidly throughout the 19th century, selling products under the brand name Les Veilleuses Françaises.
It is now the only company in France that produces and sells oil candles. It sells millions of candles every year.
Recently, nightlights have come back into fashion thanks to the popularity of floating candles.
